    Collaboration between Foscarini and Marc Sadler begin with Mite, such an innovative floor lamp that won the Compasso d’Oro in 2001. Mild company and designers have developed a special patent fact: a glass and carbon fiber yarn mix or Kevlar®, which simultaneously serves as a decorative and supporting structure. Technology already used for the production of fishing rods, golf clubs and rowing, which is for the first time used in the lighting world. The extreme flexibility of this material – lightweight and durable at the same time – has enabled us to design an entire collection of lamps for multiple uses. Thus it was born Giga-Lite in the ground and suspension versions, both characterized by a large cylindrical diffuser of the diameter of 50 cm. 3 light sources oriented in different directions uniformly illuminate the diffuser giving prominence to the decorum of the lamp and projecting downwards and upwards a hot and intense light beam. Due to its size, the collection Giga-Lite is suitable both for home use and contract, furnishing every room with elegant personality that characterizes the entire collection.
